RESILIENT / GRID COUPLING

MECHAFLEX Spring/Grid Coupling results from several years of experience in the field of Mechanical Power Transmission.

MECHAFLEX Spring Coupling allows accommodating the slight variations in alignment that occurs between connected shafts, while also absorbing shock loads

A Grid Coupling relies on high tensile strength, of Grid made of high-quality Spring Steel, Weaves between slatted or toothed hubs in the coupling assembly. The metal element allows for some angular misalignment to exist between shafts. The slots are flared to allow the grid members lang flexible spans under normal loads as well as better support by the sides of the slots under overload conditions

The cover may be spit horizontally or vertically and this is often used as a differentiating term between coupling types. Vertically split covers enable higher running speeds but must be installed on the shafts before the coupling is put in place, Horizontally spilt covers may be installed and removed at any time. Unique balanced covers are available for higher speed couplings
